4/18/2011 · In my case, the LP pump had just a limp dribble, and the HP pump was totally seized. To answer your question tho, yes – VN and VL use a common fuel tank and pump layout. I used a LP pump from a VN on my car, and a HP pump from a Camira, which uses the same HP pump again. I would have used the VN ‘s one if it had not already been taken. Car runs …

Sounds more like the fuel pump dying to me rather than an ECU problem, though I don’t mess with the electronics much so I could be wrong. If you can hear the pump priming though & there’s still no fuel at the manifold it sounds like the pump isn’t operating at full pressure (bout 30psi in the line I think) & that the engine is starving of fuel .
