If the circuit appears to be fundamentally in order but a window or windows don’t operate it is very likely that the switch is faulty. In nearly all cases the switch contacts are simply dirty. After removing the console cubby box and the plug-in at the rear of the switch, the switch can be pushed out through the console after squeezing the tabs on the sides.

3/14/2011 · I have a 1999 xj8. Problem is with the DRIVER DOOR MASTER window switch. It has suddenly just stopped working . Here are the symptoms. The memory section works. The driver side rear window switch will roll window down, but not back up again. The remaining switches do not work .

5/28/2016 · My comment: The symptoms for a defective right front door lock and window switch on our 1999 Jeep XJ Cherokee were three-fold: 1) the passenger could not operate the power window or door lock, 2) the driver could not operate the passenger window or any door locks, including the rear hatch door, from the driver’s door switch panel, and 3) the remote key fob door lock activator did not .
6/18/2013 · Hi, Sorry for the delayed reply (have to look after wife since she became ill) & the offer of help with the DDM. On older XJ ‘s the first port of call was to check all the connections on the various modules, I’m not sure if the X350 suffers in the same way but I’ll have a check & a look at the DDM to see if there are any signs of water ingress etc.

Windows will not work from drivers side master switch or the single door switches lock not working also remote mirrors dont 2001 jeep grand cherokee ltd First thing to check is the fuses. Look underneath the drivers side steering wheel (to the left) for a covered fuse box.
